The CRRTs Project was initiated by Lithuania, Project's Lead Participant. The CRRTs Project Management Team, delegated by the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania, is responsible for further pursuing project's activities.

Successes in the CRRT Project Development

  • June, 2021: CRRTs' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are finalised;
  • May, 2021: CRRT has technically reached its full operational capability (FOC), to be confirmed by the CRRT Council
  • April 26-30, 2021: the CRRT participated in the 'Integrated Resolve' exercise with the focus on provision of support to CSDP Military Operations and Missions;
  • March 4th, 2020: Memorandum of Understanding between Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania is signed setting the preconditions for the CRRTs to operate across national jurisdictions;
  • December 1, 2020: A joint consortium with private companies has applied for European Defence Industrial Development Programme facilitated grant 'Easily deployable and interconnected cyber toolbox for defence use';
  • 2019/2021: Implementation of Connecting Europe Facility grant agreement 'Cyber Rapid Response Teams toolkit roadmap creation and team training 2018-LT-IA-0167';
  • 2019: Three publications: Legal MEMO, Political MEMO and Project Governance rules are published, setting the basis for the CRRT mechanism;
  • 2018/2019 Declaration of Intent is signed on separate occasions by Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain;
  • 2018: common CRRT table-top exercise is organised to test the roles and procedures for successful CRRT activation;
