Italy joins PESCO Cyber Rapid Response Teams
On 19 November, 2024, PESCO Cyber Rapid Response Teams (CRRT) proudly welcomes Italy as the 12th EU Member State to join the CRRT Capability.
EU Cyber Rapid Response Team (CRRT) concludes deployment in support of the Republic of Moldova’s cybersecurity
On 20th October 2024, the multinational EU Member States’ Cyber Rapid Respone Team (CRRT) has finished its second mission in support of Moldova (and third since 2022) during the first round of presidential election and the referendum on anchoring EU accession in the constitution. The deployment follows a Request for Support from the Moldovan Information Technology and Cyber Security Service (STISC).
Cyber Rapid Response Team deployed in support of Moldova
On 31st May 2024, the CRRT has finished its already 2nd mission in support of Moldova (the 1st mission was carried out in November 2022), after receiving a Request for Support (RfS) from the Information Technology and Cyber Security Service (STISC) and Ministry of Defence of Moldova (MD MoD) at the end of March 2024.
Cyber Rapid Response Team assisted in keeping Lithuania’s cyberspace safe over the European Parliament election.
On June 9, the election to the European Parliament day, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) under the Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania recorded no cyber-incidents linked to the election. The Cyber Rapid Response Team (CRRT) provided assistance to the NCSC over the election period in keeping Lithuania’s cyberspace safe.
Lithuanian-coordinated EU Cyber Rapid Response Teams – incident response with the EU and in support of EU partners and military missions
Following the completion of the mission in Mozambique this March, the Lithuanian-coordinated European Union Cyber Rapid Response Teams (CRRT) can be used as a standing capability for internal EU needs as well as in support of EU partners and the EU Common Security and Defence Policy missions and operations.
Cyber exercise Alarmex 2021
On May 27 cyber exercise Alarmex 2021 took place in Lithuania and Poland: the European Union Cyber Rapid Response Team (CRRT) was activated to assist in a fictitious scenario of a large-scale cyberattack hitting diplomatic missions across several EU member states.
